PalaRaiffeisen takes shape
PalaRaiffeisen takes shape as GlassFloor installation begins in the main hall.
GlassFloor installation begins in PalaRaiffeisen’s main hall
The system selected for the main hall, supplied by ASB GlassFloor, combines a glass sports floor with LED technology, integrated into an aluminium support structure. Thanks to the transparent surface, a fully customisable LED lighting system can be installed beneath the glass.
Playing lines are projected directly onto the floor and can be digitally activated, changed or switched off according to the discipline. This makes it possible to adapt the space quickly to different sports configurations, while also opening up new possibilities for staging and for the experience of athletes and spectators.
PalaRaiffeisen’s main hall will primarily host basketball and volleyball training sessions and competitions, but it will also be equipped for many other indoor disciplines and non-sporting events.
With a capacity of up to 3,000 spectators for sports events and up to 4,000 for concerts and shows, the new Palazzetto will become one of the leading venues for sport and events in Italian-speaking Switzerland.
Work on PalaRaiffeisen is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
