The Arena
PalaRaiffeisen, Lugano’s new sports hall, stands as a symbol of the Cornaredo district’s transformation into a sports and events hub (PSE).
PalaRaiffeisen – Lugano Sports Hall
Lugano’s new home for sport and events: a place to train, compete and share memorable experiences.
PalaRaiffeisen will accommodate up to 3,000 spectators for sporting events and can be configured for basketball, volleyball and many other indoor disciplines. Alongside the main Arena, technical areas and gyms dedicated to different sports activities are also planned.
The Arena is also designed to host concerts, shows and indoor events, with a capacity of up to 4,000 spectators, making it the largest and most modern indoor concert hall in Ticino.
PalaRaiffeisen will be completed by the end of 2026 and, together with the AIL Arena, represents one of the key elements of the new Cornaredo sports complex, set to become a landmark for sport and events in Lugano.
Together with Raiffeisen
PalaRaiffeisen was made possible thanks also to the collaboration between the City and Raiffeisen, naming partner of the Arena.
The partnership is built on shared values: promoting sport, supporting the local area, investing in young people and creating opportunities for future generations.
Together, the aim is to bring to life an open, inclusive and dynamic space: a place capable of supporting local sport and strengthening Lugano’s role as a lively, attractive and connected city.
A space that comes to life every day
PalaRaiffeisen is much more than a sports facility: it is a place to be experienced in many different ways by athletes, audiences and organizers alike.
An Arena for major games, spaces to train and grow, and environments to meet, work and share experiences.
